[ Honestly, Amy doesn't really care who, if anyone, might see Shadow coming to her house. It isn't anyone's business anyway, and she's never been one to really care about things like that. Still, she wants to respect Shadow's need for privacy, and she isn't expecting anyone else today, so her house seemed liked the best place. ]

I'll see you soon.

[ It doesn't take her long to get back home, and she leaves the back door open for him. She doubts he'll want any sort of refreshment, but she makes some anyway, always having snacks on hand just in case. ]

[ it doesn't take him long to appear, why would it when her home is a chaos control away for him as he enters through the open back door, and he pulls the door up to close it properly. she'll hear the shut and click indicating that he's arrived, and he only walks so many steps in until he's able to confirm that she's here.

knowing her, she'll make her presence known, the only downside of coming here is that she's a girl with good hospitality, and he's a hog who doesn't want anything.

now he has to figure out how to decline which is easy, but still. ]

[ She's placing some of the snacks on the table when she hears the door close, and she calls out. ] I'm in the kitchen!

[ He may not want anything, but she's still going to act the good host and offer anyway. Besides, it just means she'll get to eat what he doesn't want. ]

[ is there a reason to have drinks and snacks already prepared, it's not like shadow is staying long.

that's all he can think once he enters the kitchen before his eyes drift to the pink hedgehog. ]

Hmph. What I tell you has to remain a secret.

[ quick to business as always. ]

[ Look, she can hope that he might take a moment to eat something. His curt greeting gets a wry smile from her though. ]

Nice to see you too, Shadow.

[ But knowing that this was a serious matter for him, she sobers up and nods. ]

Of course. I promise, I won't tell anyone.

[ she knows how this goes, him even being here is a greeting, but he's never doing anything outside of that. ]

There's supposed to be a comet that'll pass by without warning.

[ it doesn't sound like much, to him, he may just be overthinking. ]

I'm going to stick around a certain area and see if it appears.

[ it comes every so and so years, and people believe they've seen it only for it to disappear. a myth, really, but... what if there's more to it. ]

[ Yeah, she should be used to it be now, but she'll never stop hoping that he might lighten up a little bit.

As she starts to pour herself some tea, she pauses a moment, glancing up at him with a frown. ]

A comet?

[ Her mind immediately thinks of the Black Comet, though she knows that had already been destroyed. Still, she wonders what the significance of the comet is then. ]

And the comet for sure is just going to pass by? No danger of it hitting the planet or anything?

[ It doesn't sound like it, if Shadow wasn't going to tell anyone else about it. But she can't help wondering why he would be interested in it, and why he's keeping it a secret. ]

[ she can tell from the look on his face and the lack of response that there's something about that comet, he doesn't think its harmless. it's been bothering him for awhile now, and he's been waiting for this day to come, but now it's to see if it truly passes. ]

Whatever comes from it, I'll take responsibility.

[ the reason she can't tell anyone is because it's like a spectacle, but the less people who know, the less people who get in the way. ]

I don't trust anything that orbits near this Earth.

[ Amy's frown deepens at that. If it was truly dangerous, she didn't like the idea of handling it alone. ]

Are you sure we shouldn't tell anyone? Even just Tails or something? He could at least monitor it, just in case.

I don't need their help.

[ he doesn't need any of their help, really. actually, he sees no reason why he had to tell amy anything. ]

This isn't about them.

Then what is it about? [ Amy is trying to be patient, and wants to understand Shadow's reasoning, but it just feels too risky. ] If there's a chance this thing is dangerous, shouldn't we be ready just in case? You don't have to do it all on your own all the time.

Do not make me regret coming here, Rose.

[ and he will do it by himself because this is what makes sense to him. no matter how many times they've been on his side to help him doesn't mean he'll allow it. before there was no choice, but this time it's his decision. ]

I will make sure nothing happens.
